The Gili Islands is an archipelago of three small islands off of the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. These idyllic islands are blessed with crystal clear waters, an amazing abundance of marine life, and pure white sandy beaches.

The colorful tranquility of these islands are the inspiration for the Gili model’s design. The headstock is handcrafted with smooth Gambelina wood, coconut wood binding, and a custom abalone acrylic overlay. Sonokeling, also known as Javanese Rosewood, is used for the bridge & fretboard. The dark coconut wood binding provides a striking contrast to the light Gambelina wood body and neck while the solid Spruce top features a custom handmade rosette inlay.

I bought a Gilly Yudelele from Yude! I have been playing for a little less than 2 decades now.. I found the tone to be beautiful and bright, the tone of a ukelele(crisper) but in a travel size small ukelele like guitar! I’ve seen nothing like it I couldn’t resist but buy one for myself. Yude and I spoke for quite some time, he answered all my questions and this instrument is definitely the product of a musician trying to make a unique instrument!! Couldn’t recommend it more
